Tagua is also know as the vegetal ivory, it can be considered as the fruit of a palm tree that grows in the subtropical rain forest of Ecuador. This fruit is brown in the outside and white in the inside with the same features as the real ivory found in the elephant´s tusks. Tagua is a natural product, fully renewable and ecological due to its physical resistance, beauty and easy to work with. It has been used as raw material to elaborate many items for home, as well as luxury items.
