Hello Dear Ecofriendly Seed Beaders,
I want to share with you this invitation I received from a friend of our tagua bead organization: It is about the International Bead competition (IBA)
With this IBA contest, Beaders Best Publishing (Beaders Best Verlag) wants to set standards in the art of beadwork.
The contest is open to all bead artists around the world. Five international jury members select a first, second and third price in every category. All submissions will be presented on the website of Perlen Poesie after the jury has voted. Out of all the submissions the readers will be able to select one special public price.
Deadline for submissions is the 15th of December 2010. Up to this date (postmark) all documents including photos (digital or print) must be received by Beaders Best Publishing (Beaders Best Verlag). Submissions after this date will not be considered – these documents will not be send back.
Hand in only pieces which have been designed in 2010, which have not been submitted in another publication. Do not submitt pieces which have won in another contest.
In case you collaborate with other artists or have helpers/assistance you must name them when submitting or state it as “collective work” naming the artists.
Prizes
In each category there will be five nominations. The nominees will be published in the June 2011 issue of Perlen Poesi magazine and also on their website.
The first three winners of each category will be announced at the Beaders Best Fair for Bead Art in Hamburg, August 20th and 21st and shown in the following issue of Perlen Poesi. Pizes will include bead packages, beading material packages and books from international publishers and manufactures. Details about the prizes in September 2011 and on the website.
Participacion is free of charge.
