Hello,my name is Elena Georgopoulou and I live in Athens,Greece! I am sending a piece of jewellery that I created from various materials including kukui beads, resin beads and beads made of clay! All of these are strung on cotton cord in two different colours and sizes. I am a huge fan of natural materials and I would like to say that Tagua nut beads are not sold in my country. As a matter of fact, you can only find tagua necklaces or key-chains in open bazaars which are rare or shops that sell stuff from South America. I have used Tagua beads in my pieces many times which I bought from the U.K since it is extremely difficult to buy beads from the USA due to tax laws.

Thank you Elena for your entry. I am sure you will help us to spread the word about this exotic ivory: Tagua, an ecofriendly alternative. Tagua protects the rain forest and the elephants.
