A quite different smells of sweetness provides the Palo Santo as an aroma. It does matter wheather this
tree is male and female as it provides a characteristic aroma. Moreover this tree that grows in the wild must go thru a natural process to become incense.The tree is processed to a fine powder, then joins with natural glue to create a consistent mass and to give the conical shape with the hands of the artisans.
The process concludes by letting it dry for a day under the sunshine. This is the natural way to obtain the Palo Santo incense.”It’s an art that has allowed me to provide for my family,” says Andrea when explaining us that she’s been performing this task every day for several years now. It still surprises the use of the Palo Santo tree, as it is already part of her family.
