I’ve been asked by many of you to post information about the materials used in all the products sold at EcuadorianHands.com, plus info about the process to manufacturing them. I will try to do so, little by little. Please have a little patience 
Researching I was able to get an instructional documentary about Panama Hats. However it was too long and had to edited and split it in to 3 parts. Plus, translate it for you my friends. Quite a challenge to test our video editing skills 
This video is the 1st part of a tv show elaborated by OroMar TV “Asi se Hace Ecuador”. It show the reality of the Montecristi Hat, mistakenly known as Panama Hats.
>>>Beginning in the early to mid-1600′s hat weaving evolved as a cottage industry all along the Ecuadorian coast. Hat weaving and wearing grew steadily in Ecuador through the 17th and 18th centuries. Panama Hat real history>>>> And remember. Panama Hats, or Montecristi Hats are available in any of these styles: Fedora Hats, Borsalino Hats and so on!
