Ecuadorian beaches where you can enjoy the sighting of humpback whales

Are you a person that you like to explore marine life and perform water activities? What do you expect to visit the beaches of Ecuador. I recommend you and visit the beaches of the provinces of Manabí, El Oro, Guayas and Esmeraldas, during the month of June to September, months when hundreds of humpback whales reach the Ecuadorian coasts.

The natural and love show of the humpback whales begins with impressive swims in the sea by the males who try to attract the females to mate. They, after observing the acrobatics and songs of several male specimens, choose the strongest.

This natural spectacle receives tourists, journalists, researchers and the general public every year to observe the imposing presence of more than 6,000 humpback whales arriving from Antarctica. To mate and reproduce, in the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean.

It is believed that the visit of this marine species to the Ecuadorian beaches is due to the freezing cold of the Antarctic waters and its predators such as the great sharks and killer whales. Because of these factors, humpback whales choose to look for safer and more temperate waters at the time of mating and breeding, since their offspring are born with a very thin layer of fat, which would not allow them to survive in icy waters.

Next, I will give you a list of the Ecuadorian beaches that are visited by the humpback whales and I will recommend some activities that you can do in them.
