The Quilotoa Lagoon is one of the 15 most beautiful lagoons of volcanic origin in the world. This tourist place is located in the Zumbahua parish, of the Pujilí canton, in the province of Cotopaxi, Ecuador.

The Quilotoa is a western volcano of the Andes, inside its crater a caldera with a diameter of approximately 9 km has been formed, due to the collapse of the volcano, which occurred 800 years ago, where the volcanic flow reached the Pacific Ocean.

The activities you can do in this turquoise volcanic lagoon are several such as: Visit the Shalalá Viewpoint,  Hiking, Kayak, Camping, Horseback Riding. Undoubtedly the most striking is the camping. Spending a night near the Quilotoa lagoon is something magical, you can see the gigantic moon, appreciate the stars and listen to the relaxing music provided by nature.
